after checking in at the hospital at 2:11am, a mere 1 hour and six minutes later our sweet little rose entered the world.

the newest family picture
the big event could not have been more Irish in flavor.
the newest family picture she is 3 weeks old today. the family is doing great. ezra could not be more adoring, and mommy is thrilled because she has been on a 3-hour routine since we brought her home from the hospital. daddio has been incredible helping out at night-time, too.
laid-back and easy-going like her big brother, she seems to sleep about 22 hours out of the day! (we are excited when she starts to perk up a bit more!) she also has a real knack for using her diaper IMMEDIATELY after you have just changed it! something about the fresh air and sunshine "down there" just seems to get things moving for her. there have been times where we have gone through 3-4 diapers in a matter of minutes just trying to put a real fresh one on her!
her first 3-weeks she has managed to remain totally healthy while all others in the home seem to be falling apart. ezra has had the croup; mommy contracted some strange rash all over her arms, neck, and face that necessitated a trip to the doctor for some steroid shots, and daddy was up all night monday vomiting. except for a bit of a lingering cough for ezra, we all are on the mend now. thank you, LORD, for a healthy little one in the midst of all of our illness!

I'm so excited for you guys! Little Lizzie is just precious! You guys are such a beautiful family.
I couldn't help but notice that you said the Lizzie likes to go potty right after you change her. Lilia was very similar - always going as soon as we opened the diaper, actually! We started doing elimination communication with her at 8 weeks old, and she caught on really fast. We would just hold her over the potty and she would go! It was actually a whole lot of fun. She was going on the potty 10-12 times a day by the time she was about 3 or 4 months old. She just turned two, and she is fully potty-trained, even overnight & completely potty independent. It was such a positive experience for us! Just thought I'd pass this along, since it seems like Lizzie has similar tendencies...
