although there is much to blog about with the holidays coming to a close, there is one very special event that we do not want to miss. we had our sweet little lizzie dedicated on Christmas day! how precious to have our daughter dedicated on the day when we celebrate the birth of another baby - our Savior! i have posted a video of her dedication @ the end here because we want to share it with all of our family and because it is so special to us.
a few notes of explanation re: the video -
it was very special to have all of eric's family here. they are the ones in the shot @ the end ... eric's parents and all three of his siblings and his lil sis's new husband caleb ... aka "k-love" if you ask ezra. they traveled from four different states to celebrate Christmas with us in TX!
my mom bought lizzie her beautiful christening gown. i think she looked so beautiful!! THANK YOU, MOM!!!

don't be fooled by our little "angel" in the above shot; it only took about 20 to get the one above. she would NOT be still. i have way more of shots like these on my camera:

it was challenging to get her to sit still for more than 2 secs to take the pic!

on the move.
you get the idea.
chris and charlie o. are the couple who give us the dedication gift from the church. chris and charlie are founding members of the church. we were in their life group for over a year, and they mentored us as new members. we love them! they gave us the beautiful gift below to celebrate her dedication. it now hangs in our living room!

our church's dedications are incredibly unique and special ... in part because we feel that our church is incredibly unique and special! our pastor eric's message to lizzie is so precious.
may his prayer for her come true.
"child, show us the way. lead us to Him! and may we walk hand in hand with you as you lead us to the manger and the cross." Lord, thank you for our sweet little gift named lizzie! may we raise her to love You and love others!

Sweet Lizzie, precious gift from God, I can't tell you what joy it gives your Nana's heart to see your parents commitment to teach you about Jesus in hopes that someday you might have a personal relationship with Him as your Savior and Lord. How I long for all my grandchildren to be a part of eternity in heaven where we will get to one another even better as we finally meet our Savior Jesus face to face. God is real Lizzie. Heaven is real. I hope to get to know you even better there one day. I love you dearly precious, precious child. You delight my heart! Your Nana
