it was never gonna happen

well, it's been 2 whole months since i posted on our blog. first, it was thanksgiving. ezra turned 10 mos. and then ezra and i got sick for almost 2 weeks. and then, it was Christmas. ezra turned 11 mos., and we got sick then, too. and then we came home. a week of work, and class descended upon me once more with reading ... reading ... and more reading. so no matter how many to-do lists i've thrown out with the "udpate blog" item on it, i've decided that i will probably never get all that updating on thanksgiving and christmas and everything in between in, so i decided to just bite the bullet and start again now because before i know it there will be more items in need of updating ... and some of them will be pretty darn exciting, like:

ezra was a part of history today - our 44th president's - barack obama's historic inauguration! east arbors celebrated the momentous occasion with an inauguration party - complete with pizza and an "obama ya'll!" cake! the residents loved it!

ezra's first spaghetti! yum yum. (eric and i are convinced that he is a little human garbage disposal. we haven't figured out quite yet where he puts it all. he "fine dines" for an hour each meal - hand over fist the whole time - the left one that is - eating everything you put in from of him from corn, peas, tortilla, toast, pasta, green beans, black beans, garbanzo beans, rice, chicken, sweet potato, avocado - his fav!, yogurt, cheese, spinach - he just had spinach souffle the other night and LOVED it!, mac n' cheese, ground beef, ham etc. we have DEFINITELY had to increase the allotment in our food budget - and he is just a baby!)

ezra's first day to attempt talking on the phone - all by himself! :)

cute as can be even when he doesn't get the right side up! :)

and although we haven't caught it on video/camera yet - yesterday was a big deal because ezra walked four steps in a row all by himself. we are so proud of him!

Kendel... I LOVE that shot of him looking at the TV. He seems so unsure/concerned. Darling!

Sheesh! The little man is accomplishing SO much! I did notice, however, that his food loves are almost entirely fiesta! What a cutie.
