ezra turned 18-months old today. it is hard for us to believe how quickly our baby is growing up. here's a little clip of a part of our bedtime ritual. after bath time, we get ezra dressed in our room. this usually involves a good deal of his flopping around in the pillows and rough housing with daddy. :) after his pjs are on, he and i sit in the glider in his room to read some books. daddio brings him some milk upstairs for one last gulp, and then lights out. last night, eric took this video of ezra and me reading. because ezra can be pretty camera shy, eric had to hide behind the door for most of the video (although he walks in about halfway through). if you can't quite understand all the words, it's ok - it takes a day or two of being around him to figure out ezra-speak. in fact, we're still working on it ourselves! :) he is at a stage right now where he says about five new words a day! sometimes we feel like we're watching him grow right before our eyes. see if you can pick out some of the vocabulary words we posted about a couple weeks ago. as you can see, he now has a few more under his belt. (hint: though the clip is 7 minutes long, don't miss the part at about 4.5 minutes where we start reading dr. seuss's foot book, it's super cute!)
How wonderful to wake up to this!!! Sound is much clearer on blog. So, so sweet of mommy and son. Great to capture this nighttime routine. Eighteen months and Ezra's world is filled with words and books and balls. Such a fun time for you all. Will enjoy this many, many times with my morning coffee.

My favorite part is the "yeah" at the end of each book. Such a sweet voice!
