ezra has been growing by leaps and bounds lately. here's a few snippets of things we've been working on with him and how he is learning!
letters:
we've been working with him on his letters for a while now. a few weeks ago, he and i were walking through the library, and he saw the big words high above our head "MOODY LIBRARY." he pointed up and said excitedly several times, "O!" i could hardly believe it! he also knows all the vowels in the saying "always kiss me goodnight" in the sign over our bed. :)
shapes:
we have a puzzle with fun shapes made of different colors. the other day, he held a piece up to me all on his own and said, "blue oval!" seriously? i mean, doesn't every 22-month old know the word oval!?! :)
colors:
just yesterday, we were playing with some of my birthday balloons, and he pointed out the red, blue, and yellow ones!
counting:
also just yesterday, ezra was being a pookah, and eric informed him that he had to do something by the time he counted to three ... eric said, "one ... two ..." and ezra finished up all too eagerly by saying, "TWEE!!!" tonight while he and i were reading for bed, he would count his animals of his own accord, saying, "one, two, twee!"
SUCH A BIG BOY! and SUCH a joy!
