what does a kid do when he's excited to see his nana & grandpa? wave his arms and legs so much that he kicks off his own SHOE!!! :) ezra has only been talking about going to the "o-port" and flying to "kuh'tucky" to see nana & grandpa for days. grandpa had been on the fence about whether or not he should take off work to drive to pick us up at the airport. apparently, nana and he had a bet that ezra would go to give grandpa a hug first. i wonder who won?
here's the rest of the video. i included this because it's a great example of ezra's hand motions whenever he talks about anything related to:
-the o'port
-flying
-airplanes
-or the AIR!
as we were taking off, a fellow passenger asked if it was ezra's first flight! i started laughing out loud and said "I WISH!" let's try #10. UGH. could we please be a little closer to family?
on a brighter note, ezra did AMAZING on the flight after being potty trained for only 2 1/2 weeks. he went from 5am til 4pm when we got to my folks' house ... not a single accident. even informed me on the airplane while in his car seat that he had to go pee pee, which entailed unstrapping him, crawling over the aisle passenger to get both ezra AND me out, walking to the back of the airplane to use that bathroom - NOPE = totally occupied, and then walking to the very FRONT of the airplane to use THAT bathroom ... i felt like waving "Miss America" style as we passed all the airplane passengers TWO TIMES and informing them to just call us the potty parade!? WOW - i never knew how much work it took to get a kid to the toilet!) all this to say, it was NOT my highlight of the day thinking about all the human body fluids coating my child as he touched every single knob, handle, and TOILET SEAT in the airplane bathroom - which if he were on CSI i'm sure his whole body would light up purple with their fancy wands (GROSS!) - ANYWAY i was SOO proud of my boy for doing such an AMAZING job on his first flight potty trained!
