stories from nana's house

so, we've been using nana & g'ampa's pool A.LOT while we've been @ mom's house, and therefore, ezra has officially turned into a little fishie, trying his darndest to "swim by myself, mommy!" (yah, over my dead body!) his new favorite thing to do is jump into the pool to me by doing
a "little jump" = jump off the side of the pool or
a "BIG! jump" = off of the diving board ... also "all by [his]self"!

after landing in the water and being royally doused, he cries out, "covered in coal dust!" or "cinders and ashes!" such a hoot!

yesterday morning while eating breakfast, ezra kept sniffing out his nose at my mom. finally mom asked, "ezra, what are doing?" ezra replied, "nana, i bless you!" (he was trying to sneeze.) :)

ever since we've arrived, nana has been reading a new Bible story book to ezra about adam and eve (his current favorite Bible characters) and about Jesus and God creating the world. last night as i was praying with him before he went to bed, he prayed:

"dear God, God bless gold and gipper."
(in my head: what IS it with those fish?!? also, poor guy. he still doesn't quite get the fact that gipper is dead.)

"God bless 'adan' and eve."
(in my head: sorry kid, also dead. apparently ezra is leaning towards Catholicism, praying everyone out of purgatory or something.)

"AND God bless GOD and JESUS!"
(mom out loud: laughter!)
