lil lizzie = 4 months!!

so a little over a week go lil lizzie turned four months old, which serendipitously also was my mom's birthday! (happy birthday, nana!!)

lizzie has been doing GREAT ... this past month she has hit some significant milestones ...

smiling like nobody's business

(pictured here smiling @ her grandpa while we were home in june - she already has him wrapped around her little finger! but she also smiles at TOTAL strangers even in the dining halls. people frequently comment about how they can't believe how much she smiles at them. we definitely think she will be a social little lady like her mama. :)

practicing eye-hand coordination/grabbing on her baby einstein play
mat = which def is her favorite these days!

snuggling in the sling
(ok, that is sort of a milestone for mommy who has finally figured out how to work the blasted thing!) we love toodling around the house with this together. i feel like a mama kangaroo. :)

wearing pig tails (what 4-month old girl does that?!)

discovering her toes!

which has led to ROLLING ... all over the place! we have a video to document our little gym rat's development, but unfortunately we still haven't quite fully converted all of our technology to the mac world now that we've ditched PCs (in other words date of video's posting TBD). nevertheless, she is rolling like a crazy mama - both ways and to the point that she is mobile enough she often ends up off the play mat, turned around in different directions!

another development that a still camera can't catch is that she has become quite vocal! she likes to jump in on family convos and socialize. we love it! :)

in the sleep department, mommio is tickled pink. lizzie goes down @ night @ 8. daddio gives her a dream feed @ 11pm (she takes anywhere from 4-8 oz after converting to a quicker flowing nipple!) then her next nursing is somewhere between 7:30-8:30am!! during the day she is on a little 3.5 hour routine - working closer to stretching out to 4 hours, but we just aren't quite there yet. she takes 3 naps - 2 longer ones that should last 2 full sleep cycles (45 mins) but in reality, she usually only does 1 shorter nap in the am ... about an hour and then naps longer in the afternoon, which we are totally fine with since she'll eventually drop that morning nap anyway, and we want her to sleep longer in the afternoons. her third and final nap is a cat nap to get her through bath and her final feeding before bed @ 8. sorry if i am boring you, dear reader, with these details. this info is really for my reference later on. :)

tomorrow is her 4-month check up so i'll post a "ps" with her stats and latest info.
