things ezra's into

brushes. if we are in the bathroom, he will undoubtedly come in there with us, open up one of the four drawers that we are unable to put child locks on, reach around until he finds something that feels like a comb or brush (the drawer is above his head so picture him on his tip-toes trying to find it), and then proceed to brush his hair.

toothpaste. again, if one of us is in the bathroom brushing our teeth, he will not be satisfied until we quickly brush his teeth too. i think it is mostly the taste of the paste that he likes. we're hoping this habit sticks.

deodorant.probably the cutest thing he does is attempt to put on deodorant. again, on his tip-toes, reaching to find the deodorant in one of the four drawers, he proceeds to pull off the top, lift up his shirt, and apply deodorant. the only problem is that he rarely makes it to the armpit and instead gets it all over his belly. he then usually puts some on his arm and face. of course that isn't the end. he isn't satisfied until you smell his deodorant spots and make a big show over how good he smells.

it's the simple things.

Reminds me of one of my little girls, Kendel by name, who wore deoderant proudly all over her face into the Officers Club in Okinawa. When I turned around and asked her why she looked like an Indian, she said she had put deoderant on her face. "Why?" I asked. Answer, "So I will smell good." Like mother, like son.
