as i was saying, about 3 weeks ago, ezra and I flew up to ohio to meet jen and aaron's latest addition - little miss lucy hall. it was the last several days of jen's maternity leave, and aaron and i collaborated together to SURPRISE jen. it was totally WORTH IT!!! to set the video up, everyone should know that jen's big sister corrie had picked me and ezra up from the hospital. aaron was home from work b/c he had been up all night sick, so he couldn't come get us. corrie went inside and told jenny that she had found something totally amazing "dumpster diving" and that she needed to come out to her van to see what she had found. i was hiding behind her van while ezra was chillin' in the carseat inside. jen was BEYOND shocked when i jumped out, as this video can attest (actually, a note about the video - can anyone say, "HELLO KENDEL'S NOSTRILS!" nevertheless, this video still makes me very happy):
auntie kendel and cousin ezra brought presents for all. look @ lucy checking out her mom's new hat. :)
introducing LUCY HALL - this trip was ALL about her AFTER ALL! by the way, has anyone seen a little girl at 6 weeks with more hair? she also is an UNBELIEVABLE sleeper. on friday while we were there, she literally slept like 20 hours - pretty much all day and then still slept through the night. she's an angel baby!
jenny getting the royal treatment. after our 75-minute spa pedicures, we spent a good deal of time in the "relaxation room" afterwards. it was truly divine! that night we came home, had pizza for dinner, and spent like an hour trying to find a chick flick on their TV. it probably would have been faster just to go to redbox. it was still fun. ;)
friday was a fiasco. jen and i took 1 1/2 hours to get to a 20-minute photo shoot for lucy's baby announcements. it was a true ADVENTURE! yes, we were halfway to the next major city! friday night we celebrated jen's niece tiffany's birthday! corrie and her kiddos live right down the street. it was a fun celebration with tons of kids and neighbors of all generations.
ezra ate an entire cupcake - i had to document this b/c he has never done that before! his eyes look funny b/c i tried to fix them in picassa with red eye reduction, but it just seemed to make it worse!
our first day there, thursday - ezra got his hair cut for the gazillionth time. his hair grows so fast! this is the only lady who has cut his hair besides me. ezra love this place because he gets to watch elmo and sit and drive in the fun little car. she is awesome. i wish she were here in tx!
saturday ezra and i headed home. i thought you all would enjoy seeing how ezra naps when he flies. he did this on the way there and back. i put my head on the other end of the seats and wrapped my legs around his little body and took a nap myself. not too bad! (i'm sure the stewardesses thought we were crazy, though!)
