words with nana

we spent labor day week in panama city with my family for nannie's 80th birthday. almost 30 people were there; it was so special to have so many people together to celebrate the matriarch of our family!

while we were there, my mom had too much fun practicing words with ezra. we have another 9-minute video from that week that we hope to post later of his words ... but this will suffice for now. hang in there for this one. there's is a "special guest" appearance at the very end of the video that made eric and me laugh out loud! oh, also, if you're wondering why ezra looks like he has gotten punched in the face - that's a stye he has had for the past 15 WEEKS! for those of you who are wondering, a stye is a staph infection of the eye lash. anyway, it's almost gone now, but boy, it's taken a long time to heal!

something we failed to catch on video while we were down there was ezra would ask probably 50 times a day - NO JOKE - where (fill in the blank) go??? only in came out like ...
'ere papa doh? (my dad was @ a dental conference most of the week so ezra asked about him the most)
'ere nannie doh?
'ere mommy doh?
'ere daddy doh?

it really was super cute! more pics of our trip to PC @ a later date hopefully ...

Hey! You could have deleted that surprise guest at the end! Silly me... What a fun age Ezra is as he is emulating so much in word and deed. I am, truly, so very thankful to God for giving us the opportunity to spend time with him at such a sweet, fun stage. A great joy to Nana and Papa's heartsand wonderful to have the video to remember a slice of it!

Look at Ezra go! Maybe he should have taken the GRE in my place with a vocab like that!

ps I was a little nervous when he was about to repeat beach, but he did well! ;)
