well, the weather was a little less rainy today ... but a whole lot chillier!
an update on the fam:
ezra is doing better. if you read my previous post, he asked to go to bed on thursday at 5:30 in the afternoon. yes, he slept for 14 HOURS!!! when he woke on friday, we went back to the doc for more blood work. he fell asleep on the way there (yes, this was almost an hour after waking.) he almost fell asleep on the way home and asked for his crib around 11am! are you kidding me?!?!
thankfully, our unbelievable pediatrician called me that afternoon with his labwork results. his white blood cell count was going up, and he tested negative for mono, which we were very glad of, so she thought he was over the hump. they are still trying to get us in for his eeg and ekg because they are going to try to to schedule it for when my mom is here in mid-february - talk about PERFECT timing!
friday afternoon was "girl's nite in/sleepover" with my staff ... we had din din @ mem, and then we came back to my place ... they watched an episode of glee while i bathed and put ezra down ... he was ALL too delighted that they were over. it was like he was sick of mommy for the past 72 hours ... he kept squealing "gurls! gurls! gabby! erica! shola!" before bedtime. after he was down, the "gurls" and i played "dress-ups" which entailed all of us modeling gabby's cocktail/formal dresses and shola's traditional dress from nigeria, complete with bubus! WE.HAD.A.BALL! we even did a catwalk ... complete with video footage to document the event.
and then ...
something hit me like a mack truck, and i could barely stand up. i felt SOO sick to my stomach/clammy/cold/shivering. i kept hoping it would go away as i reclined in the rocker as we all watched a movie and the staff made valentine's. but alas, it did not. i had to go to bed early before the movie was over, and the girls thankfully stayed here and spent the night to watch over ezra and me. :)
today was ok. ezra and i laid really low til eric came home. we both perked up enough to watch UK & BU rock the houses. at the end of the games, ezra was yellin' "HOLLA!" :) he also totally bonded with tuck and sarah @ their house @ our little party.
we've got to pull it together b/c tomorrow is the BIG day! our little man turns 2! yippee!!!
