this evening we were headed home after a fun dinner with our friends josh & mal. in the car, ezra declares "when i grow up i'm gonna do a distertation like my daddy." eric responded and said that if ezra did, he would help him. :) i said, "ezra, i know you can write a dissertation if you want to because you are one smart cookie." next thing i know i hear little lizzie say from the car seat in the back in the dark, "coooookie!" we ALL started laughing!

a few minutes pass, and eric starts telling me about a Bible quiz tv show that he and ezra had been watching on the computer earlier. there was a multiple choice question about what God made adam out of, and ezra correctly stated dust even though the three adult contestants were all wrong and said clay. next ezra wanted to know if i knew what eve was made of. i told him i wanted him to tell me. he said, "well, God made eve out of adam's ridges!" i asked him again to clarify, and yep, sure enough, eve was made out of adam's "ridges." :) eric kindly filled ez in that they were actually called RIBS. :P

Kendel, you are such a good writer! I love these stories. Wonder if they could be published into a little book? Your children will so enjoy them. What a blessing to be able to go here and record these precious stories! Ezra is an amazing little boy, and I love him dearly, and little Lizzie, too! Love it!!!
