every morning, i get her up out of her pack n play, and when eric walks in she says, "morning! (pause) daddy!" yesterday she said, "morning! HOW ...?" because eric always says, "good morning lizzie! HOW are you?!" :) sooo sweet! she doesn't quite catch on that this is a greeting used just for the morning, though, because when i got out of car this afternoon, sweet lil lizzie was waiting for me by the car door with a huge smile on her face and said, "morning!"
*****
i was changing her diaper, and she was drinking from her sippy cup and making gurgling noises. she looked up at me, and said, "mommy! watch!" and then proceeded to do another gurgling gulp! she was so proud of herself! i couldn't believe what she had said, though!
*****
she also says bye bye to lots of things ... "bye bye __________." and "thank you" unprompted and appropriately!
*****
other words that she has added to her vocabulary lately:
- dinosaur (def the toughest word she knows. she likes to roar after she says it, too :)
- all of hallelujah (she used to only say hallujah)
- picture! (whenever she sees the camera)
- show (because she wants to watch a PBS show with bubba in the morning)
- chip! (thanks to her daddio!)
- door (whenever she wants to leave)
- go! (one of her favorite things to do :)
- CHUFFY - the most confusing of all! yes, this means fish and goldfish! where she gets CHUFFY from we have NO IDEA!!!
- girl and boy
- E-I-E-I! (her new favorite song is old mcdonald)
lizzie is also starting to count. on a good day she can count to 5. :) she can say abcd and other random parts of the song as well. she also understands instructions and the fact that she has 3 seconds to complete something after i have given her said instructions because i count down ... 3-2-1. so lately, she likes giving herself instructions, and i will hear her say something like "2-9-1" and then start running and laughing. such a cutie!
she still loves to sing ... and climb ... and play with her bubba ... and give her mommy kisses, but not so much her daddy these days (seriously - she says "neooooo" 85% of the time when he asks!), which breaks his sweet heart, but i tell him he has a boy who thinks he hung the moon!!
after i tucked her in bed tonight, she was looking at her wheels on the bus book (she gets to look at one book before i turn out the light), and she was "shh-shh-shh-ing" and "beep-beep-beep-ing" all on her own as she turned the pages. it was toooooo sweet. wish i could have bottled up that little moment to keep it forever!

Thanks for this update, Kendel.
Lizzie is delightful! I so enjoyed her talking and singing and playing hide and seek this Christmas, and her sweet, happy morning greetings. Nana loves Lizzie!!! Great hugs and kisses from "queenie"!
