On Marriage

I (Eric) heard the following conversation in the car while taking Lilias -- Ezra's best friend in Waco -- home to her house.  I had to share.

Ezra: What do you want to be when you grow up, Lilias?
Lilias: (thoughtfully) Umm, a ballerina.
Ezra: (saddened and a bit put out) But Lilias, you said we were going to get married when we grow up!
Lilias: (as if recalling a previous conversation) Oh yeah. . . . But how will you find me?
Ezra: (perplexed and concerned) I don't know.
Lilias: (with vigor) Well, maybe I should wear I sign!
Ezra: (relieved) Great!  I'll wear a sign too.  We'll put them on our backs.
Lilias: Yeah, and then we'll be able to find each other when we're all grown up.

Ummm...it's possible that Lilias may have some competition. We've got a little girl here who has a picture of her and Ezra hanging on the wall above her bed. Just sayin'! :-) Miss you guys!
