so, ezra has always been a good eater, but lately his taste bud variety takes the cake! the other night we fed ezra dinner, and he had already eaten his chicken, green beans, corn, and grapes. we could tell he was still a little hungry so we gave him some left over tamales, which weren't his favs - i mean hey, they were kind of tough since they were a few days old. we could tell he was still hungry so eric looked in the freezer and found some frozen baby brussels sprouts that one of my cl's rachel had given us when she moved out. she has terrible food allergies, so she has very limited food options - hence, the baby brussels. eric asked me if i thought if he should try those, and i was like, "ewww! even I have never had one of those!" he said he hadn't either but that someone had to eat them! (why not our kid, right?!) much to both of our shock and horror, ezra downed like 8 of those things - an entire single adult sized serving! (they looked like mini cabbages.) guess our kid really likes veggies. :)just last night, we had a fun evening with our friends jonathan & mel and peter & beth. we had a Mediterranean-style dinner, and then afterward, the guys watched a shoot-em up at j & mel's place while the gals watched a chic flick at our place. anyway, while the adults were eating dinner, ezra must have come up to me twenty times for black olives. AGAIN, neither eric nor i like them, and yet our child was eating them like candy!!! (this is also the child who spits out the chocolate chip when you give him a cookie - something he inherited from mwah. :) what can we say? our boy is healthy!
