ok, so, i'm not sure if our regular readers have noticed (as if we have so many - BAHA!), but i have SERIOUS issue with posting about any significant holiday or vacation on our blog. for the past two years or so, i've skipped almost every single blessed Christmas, birthday, summer trip home ... HECK! i've even skipped the most recent = MY OWN MASTERS GRADUATION!!!!!!!!!! seriously?!? what is wrong with me, people? honestly, i must admit, i procrastinate on these posts ... i feel too overwhelmed to capture any major life events (that at times last for a week or more as in a vacation) on a blog post, because as my good ol' buddy ol' pal from high school jules just informed me, "how could one truly ever hope to chronicle life - all of it - in a blog?!"
SO, to relieve some of my inner turmoil, i've decided to do a TOP TEN list of Ezra's and my recent colorado trip to visit the wee sis-o-la. we'll take our vinegar and cover the sour moments first ...
top ten WORST moments of the trip:
1. driving an extra 2.5 hours (on an already 13 hour trip!) to colorado because the gps was not on the right setting!
2. getting a speeding ticket in the middle of the night ... in the middle of timbucktoo ... late at night ... tired ... kid screaming in the back = A.W.E.S.O.M.E!
3. finding out said speeding ticket will set me back a mere $175 bucks - are YA kidd'n me??!
4. having my kid choke - YES - that is right - choke and VOMIT out of his mouth AND nose ... half-digested oreo and pesto pasta dripping off his arms and hands and face ... yummy? NOT!
5. sleeping with a child who seems to develop a cough on trips whenever it is time for me to sleep in the same room with him and no other time in his life
6. counting my son's said coughs in the middle of the night ... every blessed five seconds.
7. missing Eric
8. ezra getting pink eye
9. having to drink a glass of water every time i turned around because the air is so dry (although the water in CO is sparking delicious compared to our nasty h20, so maybe this one doesn't count)
10. missing Eric even more!

Love the video of M and E with the trains going by. Looks like such a fun visit! So glad you two had the day at the train museum in Golden and that you are safely home!
Funny, I have the same problem documenting the larger life things, ie: Cabo still hasn't made the blog. I am sorry about your 10 worst, but I sure loved your 10 best. I even sent it to my friend (she's moving to Denver) and she'd LOVE some of those places!
